Amreli has abundant holy shrines. The Nagnath Temple is a prominent ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to historians, the old edifice was built by the Diwan of Amreli during the 1600s. The best time to visit the temple is during Nagpanchmi and Shivratri when the entire edifice is illuminated with colorful lights.

Bhurikhiya Hanuman Mandir in Amreli

Another important place of worship in Amreli is the Bhurikhiya Hanuman Mandir. This holy shrine is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. However, ancient inscriptions depict that the temple is related to Shri Damadordasji who was a strong follower of Shri Raghuvirdasji. The sage was famous for his preachings on Tulsikrit Ramayan. Devotees flock the temple in multitudes during Chaitra Poornima. Special rituals are performed by the priests of the temple.
